Donations & Support

The Friends of the Charles B. Stewart-West Branch Library is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Give a book in honor or memory of a loved one and a lovely book dedication will be put in the front of the book.

The Friends of the Library has 4 fundraisers a year.

  • In the Springtime, our first fundraiser is the Spring Silent Auction. Donated themed baskets of wonderful items and other individual items are displayed for bidding.
  • In May, we have our highly anticipated Book Sale. Thousands of gently used books and puzzles are sold at incredibly low prices.
  • Our newest addition to our fundraisers is the Mini Golf FUNdraiser in October. It’s a lot of fun for the entire family.
  • The year ends with our Christmas Tree Auction and Christmas Open House and Santa visit. You can bid on our parade of themed, small, decorated Christmas trees and beautiful Christmas wreaths.  The event closes out with an Open House at the library with lots of food and drink and a visit from Santa.

Know that in taking your gently used books to the library they are sorted and placed in our “BOOK NOOK” for resale at a minimum price. Children’s books are especially in demand and are the first to go. We never have enough of them. We need magazines, CDs, DVDs and Audiobooks. All funds are used to support the library and the many services and programs it offers.
